I had the honor of knowing Jean since 1994, but more intimately as her daughter-in-law for nearly 20 years. Jean had a genuine love for family and demonstrated that love through the many family gatherings that she hosted, the amazing food that she prepared, and the smile on her face when each person walked through the door. My fondest memories with Jean is fixing her hair monthly, the many one on one conversations we had sitting at her kitchen table, laughing our hind parts off when she re-glued a tooth upside down before the repairman showed up at the door, and visits to “Memaw’s” house. Jean will truly be missed. She fulfilled her purpose here on earth and it’s never goodbye; it’s until we meet again…
