Q: What will you never forget about Jo?
A: I transferred to TUL with United Airlines to attend college. Jo took me in, not only to show me “the ropes”, but for years after so much about the job. I still tell the story today, about how Jo was so eloquent with customers, despite the toughest conversations. I once asked her how she did it, she replied “just have a happy word in your mind, that you know and smile”, as her signature ponytail tale swung from the side. Jo and her family included you as their own the minute you met them. Truly a loss for all that knew Jo. Prayers and thoughts with the family.

Joanne was a blessing to our family. She was always wanting to promote family get-togethers to unite our families. She was so full of life & love. As everyone already knows, she was the life of the party. Speaking of parties, I had heard for years of the legendary Halloween Party. I hate we missed it, as I know it must have been a blast. Jo, you are already missed. We loved you dearly.

Joanne was always the spark that got everyone in the party mood. We have known her for over 40 years and she has blessed our lives so many times it’s impossible to count! My fondest memory was when we were moving to Washington state and I was going to make the trip by myself with my car. Joanne would not let me do that and offered to ride with me, then fly back home. This trip was the most fun as it was just me and her on our big adventure (like the movie “Thelma and Louise”). We laughed more on that particular trip than any other time we were together! So many precious memories we have with her and she will truly be missed by both of us!

Q: What will you never forget about Jo?
A: She was in the first group of people I met when I moved to Tulsa with United. She was always very kind and helpful and a positive inspiration. She loved life and loved to share. She was the first one to come to the hospital in the middle of the night, when my son was born and brought candy! I will never forget her kindness and her love. She is greatly missed.

Jo Anne never failed to put a smile on my face, whether it was at work at United Airlines or at play, Jo was so much fun. One of my fondest memories of Jo was when she invited my oldest daughter over to make Christmas aprons and cookies, it became a tradition for several years and when my son was old enough, he joined in on the fun as well. That was 24 years ago and my daughter remembers it to this day. Another memory is of hearing all the shenanigans that happened at the Halloween parties, I was always amazed and amused; and let's not forget that she would freeze the leftover witches brew and use it the next year. You never quite knew what was in that brew...lol. JoJo you are gone too soon, but you will never be forgotten. Peace and prayers for Butch, the boys, and the rest of the Robinson family.
Love,
Kennetta Collins
