Please share a memory of Jeffrey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jeffery Dean Brame Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin, passed away on October 8th, 2024, at the age of 73 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Jeffery, also known as Peewee to many of his family members, was born on June 28, 1951, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Chester Clinton Elmer Brame and Jessica June Brame. He is survived by his son Jeffery Dean Brame Jr. and wife Amanda, granddaughter Shawn Darian, grandson Logan Grey, his daughter Nina Michelle Tucker and husband Bo, and granddaughter Ella Bree. Jeffery is also survived by his brother Elmer Dayle, his sister Janet Lynn, as well as nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Nina Genice Brame, brother Clinton Elmer Brame, parents Chester C.E. Brame, and Jessica June Brame.

Nina Genice Brame, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, passed away on October 7th, 2024, at the age of 74 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nina, also known as Niecey to many of her family members, was born on August 19, 1950, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Voyd Lee and Geneva Lois Kendrix. She is survived by her son, Jeffery Dean Brame Jr., and his wife Amanda, her granddaughter Shawn Darian, her grandson Logan Grey, her daughter Nina Michelle Tucker and husband Bo, and her granddaughter Ella Bree. Nina is also survived by her brother LaDaniel Anthony Kendrix, sister-in-law Rita Ann, her sister Debra Gail Steel, brother-in-law Robert Paul, niece Christy Pattinson, and nephews Daniel Jones, Eric Jones, and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Voyd and Geneva and her sister Dorinda Ann.

In the summer of 1971, Jeffery and Nina met at a music event where Jeffery was playing drums for Nina’s father Voyd's band. Shortly after, on November 18, 1971, they were married in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From 1971 to 1974, Jeffery and Nina helped Clinton C.E. Brame run and manage the Town and Country Motel off of Route 66. After the death of Jeffery’s father, Jeffery became a Video Game Technician for R & M Amusement, and Nina moved into a homemaker role with her new son, Jeffery Dean Brame Jr.

Over the years, Jeffery Sr. worked in the video game industry, repairing machines in bowling alleys, arcades, convenience stores, and other various locations. Nina continued to care for their family and their new daughter Nina Michelle, born in 1980. As time went on, Jeffery and Nina would change professions and positions throughout the next two decades until Jeffery could no longer work due to an autoimmune disease. In the 90s, Nina took on the difficult task of supporting the family after Jeffery's illness by working as a receptionist at University Village, and later at INCOG as a mapping clerk. Nina would later join her husband at home as they both ended up in early retirement due to disabilities.

Jeff and Nina continued to persevere throughout rough times, never giving up on their love for one another and dreaming of a better future. Jeffery, in the early years, loved to fish, hunt, grow very large vegetable gardens, and work around the house and in the yard. In his later retirement years, he enjoyed tinkering around with odd inventions he would create, watching old westerns, or enjoying Nina’s home cooking. Nina, in the early years, enjoyed going out dancing with Jeffery, listening to disco and pop hits in her Mercury Cougar, or spending extra time with her siblings, her children, and later her grandchildren. She also loved old musicals and newer ones such as Mamma Mia. She especially loved music and dancing, and over her lifetime, it was quite common to find her singing and dancing around at home or in grocery stores.

Jeff and Nina loved their family, but most importantly, they loved one another. It was common for them to tell their children that if one of them were to ever pass, the other would follow not far behind. Unfortunately, those words were spoken into existence as Nina passed away from this world on Monday, and the following day, Jeffery, unable to live without her, passed away in his sleep the next morning.

Dad and Mom, Grandpa and Grandma, Brother and Sister, Uncle and Aunt, or Cousin to many others, you both will be greatly missed. Know that you were loved here, and you will always be loved after. If there is any lesson to learn from the passing of these two, it is to never stop loving.
