In Celebration of His Life

Elliott Frank Spears Whitetree

December 6, 2012 - October 6, 2024

11 years old

Sand Springs, OK

Elliott was in a hurry to meet this world and arrived 6 weeks early on December 6, 2012, in Tulsa, OK.  His parents are Gary and Pamela Whitetree of Sand Springs and Krystal Spears of Claremore.  Elliott was blessed with a little sister named Aurora in 2017, and he just giggled and smiled the first time he got to hold her.  His big brother, Ethan, was his first ever best friend.  They loved telling people Ethan was E1 and Elliott was E2 "because Ethan was a little older, but only by 3 months".  Elliott was proud of being adopted by his grandma and grandpa and if anyone ever tried to tell him Ethan was just his cousin, he would correct them and say, "that's my brother".  Elliott has so many cousins, aunts, and uncles that love him so much!

Elliott began school at Limestone Elementary in Sand Springs and loved his Sandite Family.  He was always the helper at school and during his last year at Limestone he was Principal for a Day and was excited to "work" with his principal, Mrs. Lee, to make sure every kid had a second recess! He loved to crawl around in the auditorium and look for tiny sparkly items and coins.  He was the "scavenger" and always came home with a pocketful of treasures.

Elliott has always been a special, kind, and pure soul.  His "about me" pages he completed at school, always showed how proud he was to be Autistic.  His unique skills and challenges led us to find him the perfect "for him" place, and he started attending Town & Country School in Tulsa in 2023.  He instantly loved being a "T&C Knight".  After the first couple of weeks at his new school, he fully embraced all things Town & Country.  His friends circle grew exponentially and the number of parties and fun outings he was invited to really brought him out of his shell.

He was a member of the Lego Club at school, he excelled in Math and Reading, loved to sing, was a wonderful artist, and had the best tight hugs ever!  We believe Elliott was an old soul, much wiser than his years, who loved Johnny Cash, collecting rocks, shells, arrowheads, and anything shiny.  Elliott was a friend to all.  His PE teacher said she could always count on Elliott when someone needed a partner for their games.  He stepped right up and made sure they knew they weren't alone.  He loved all things unicorns, was a master with Lego's, loved playing Minecraft with his brother, he'd binge watch Spongebob every chance he got, he loved a great book, and if a stuffed animal needed a place to call home, Elliott was the guy to go to!

Elliott is survived by his parents, Gary and Pamela Whitetree of Sand Springs and Krystal Spears of Claremore, his brother Ethan Whitetree of Sand Springs, sister Aurora Spears of Chelsea, Cousin Kiera Robinson of Okay, Great Grandparents Kathy Mehaulic of Claremore, and Rex Whitetree of Sapulpa, Great Great Grandmother Madia "Nanny" Sontag of Sapulpa, Aunt Marie Richard of Claremore, Aunt Debbie (Lance) Cunningham of Rufe, Aunt Amy Whitetree of Houston, Texas, Aunt Erin (Jasson) Brook of Sapulpa, and his many cousins, aunts, and uncles, as well as his special doggie protectors "Little Momma" and "Sheeba".

Elliott is preceded in death by his Great Grandfather David F Mehaulic in 1999, his Uncle David J Mehaulic in 2014, and his Great Grandmother Pat "Nana" Whitetree in 2022.

Our family is filled with gratitude for all of our loving family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors, not just for the flowers, food, hugs, and prayers, but for all of the continual acts of kindness.  We want to give a special thanks to Elliott's schools; when our Limestone family learned of Elliott's passing they immediately reached out to offer their support even though he was no longer attending school there.  To our Town & Country Tribe, thank you for your support and devotion to not just our family, but to all the students affected by the sudden absence of Elliott at school.

Elliott, you were a gift to every person you came into contact with and we all love you.  Your physical presence is greatly missed, but our cherished memories of your never-ending smiles, hugs, and "I love you"'s will always fill our hearts.
