Obituary of Michael Andrew Adamson

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Michael Andrew Adamson “Mike” was born on August 30, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents Calvin and Udeyne Adamson. He passed away on October 26, 2024. On November 10, 1968, he married Judi, and together they had Kelly and Jake. Mike and Judi started their business in 1986. They owned and operated Finishing Touches Auto Body Shop, Inc. until their retirement in May 2016.

Mike loved God, his family and his country. He was very proud of his service in the Air Force during Vietnam. After leaving the Air Force, he chose to become a Civil Servant and continued to serve for many years in various capacities until the 1980’s. Also, in the 1980’s, he had been a youth minister at Bible Baptist Church in Sapulpa. Mentoring the younger generations was important to him. Whether it was sharing his knowledge about the gospel or autobody repair, he truly loved people.

Mike was in constant motion staying busy with projects, building and repairing things, or simply helping people whenever he could. He woke up every day and asked what the plan for the day was. “You always have to have a plan”, he’d say. Recently, he had the honor of being chosen for the Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to view the memorials, accompanied by his daughter.

He is survived by his wife Judi, his daughter Kelly, his son Jake and daughter-in-law Kim Adamson, brother Mark Adamson and his family.
