Obituary of Henry James Kidd

Henry James Kidd, 74, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, in Tulsa, OK. Born on October 27, 1950, in Borger, TX, to Henry Hugh and Margaret June Kidd, Henry moved with his family to Bartlesville, OK, where he grew up and graduated from College High School in 1969.

Before graduating, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, a testament to his dedication and character. After high school, Henry continued his studies at the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1973. During his college years, he formed a close brotherhood with friends that endured throughout his life. Together, they shared countless road trips and attended many Sooner football games, creating memories and a bond that brought him great joy. Following college, Henry and his wife, Cindy, settled in Bartlesville, where they raised their family and built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Henry enjoyed a long and rewarding career with Schlumberger, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Known for his love of road trips, passion for American history, and enthusiasm for Oklahoma football.

 Henry was a beloved father, brother, and grandfather who touched the lives of many. His children and grandchildren remember him fondly for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support. Henry is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Kidd. He is survived by his sister, Cynthia Nelson of Lakewood, CA; his four children, Angel January of Claremore, OK; Lacie Kidd of Las Vegas, NV; James Kidd of Bartlesville, OK; and Micah Kidd of Las Vegas, NV; as well as 12 beloved grandchildren who brought him immense joy and pride.
