“ETHEL JANE HURST BODDEN”

 

Jane Bodden of Owasso, Oklahoma, 79 years of age passed away on the evening of November 10, 2024 after suffering from a two-year affliction. Jane was the daughter of Ben and Jewel Hurst of Port Arthur, Texas, and was born on February 7, 1945 in Port Arthur, Texas. Jane and Henry Bodden had just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on October 19, 1963. Jane was truly a servant of God. After moving to Owasso, Ok. in 2003, Jane immediately enrolled in Rhema Bible College under Kenneth Hagin Jr., and five years later graduated as a licensed minister. She faithfully ministered to women prisoners for five years in Taft, Ok. Jane also became a certified grief recovery specialist to further serve people. Jane also manned the Rhema Church prayer phone lines for several years, praying for callers who phoned in for prayer. Jane also became a certified concealed weapons instructor.

 

Jane loved travelling and accompanied her husband on many trips to Europe and the Pacific. Jane loved raising a family and saw that her three children attended Christian schools, and home schooled her daughter Seretha her last two years of high school. Jane also taught 2nd grade at Family Life Church and school in Lafayette, La. Jane is survived by her husband Henry Bodden Jr., son Kevin Bodden and daughter-in-law Cheryl Bodden. Also is survived by her daughter Seretha Bodden Bush and son-in-law Jeff Bush. Jane had five grandchildren – Kaitlin Bodden, Shelby Bodden, Sebastian Bodden, Keely Bush and Kyle Bush. Jane is also survived by her brother Ben Hurst III of Houston, Texas, and a brother deceased Jim Hurst. Jane and her husband’s ashes when that time comes, will be spread on the grounds of their Gold Star Monument located at the Owasso Veterans memorial Park in Owasso, Ok. A LIFE WELL LIVED!
