What an amazing man ! He had a huge heart and so many talents . Loyd always had a nack for fixing things , electronics , toys , anything it didn’t matter what it was, if it was broke , he could fix it and I knew he would tinker with it until he made it work or like new again.
I loved his grin , you always knew he was up to something when you saw the little smirk on his face .
He was always young at heart, I remember him telling me one day ….. at some point your mind will want to keep doing things you’ve always done but your body just doesn’t work the same way and you will not be able to do what you used to , but it never stopped him from trying
, he would jump in with whatever the grandkids were doing , he would kick and chase the the ball with grandkids , climb trees , he would try anything they were doing and do it at least once , he loved showing the grandkids how he could stand on his head…. One evening recently we went over to see him and he was out tinkering under the carport with his mower and before you knew it he was swinging from the chain that was hanging under that awning , the boys giggled as they played .
I also loved to listen to him and his family sing , gospel of course !
When we would play dominos he knew exactly what dominos were played and how many were left and even what you had in your pile without even peeking Watching him teach Adams boys how to fish , showing Rhett the funny things in life, sharing how he garden and grew the vegetables , shared with them what it meant have fun and work hard , it was simple and all of it brought joy to my heart! The stories could go on forever , even until the very end , you didn’t want to give up , your body grew tired and you allowed us time with you until you couldn’t any more . You were a great father in law and I will always be thankful for you and the love you shared welcoming me in the family ! I will miss you here on this earth but find joy in knowing I will see you again someday !
Love,
Your daughter in law …. Tina

The Johnson family were a part of the 39th Street neighbors. I knew both of them in High School at CPHS.
Janice always made something special for the kids on Halloween, they were a great family to have for neighbors.
Sorry for the loss but happy he will once again be united with Janice....enjoy heaven together again.
May God bless the kids Aaron, Scott & Melodie - Sending hugs....

Loyd was a very kind man. He loved his hats. He loved going to Wendy's to get a frosty.
He would also go with me across to the field to get flowers to plant at their house.
Prayers to the family. Bless you Sharon. Teresa Hughart
