Please share a memory of Roy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Roy (Bud) Lawson, 54 entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Saturday August 22, 2010. He was born to Roy H. Lawson and Doris Goodman Lawson May 15, 1956 in Henryetta OK. Bud was an avid NASCAR and Mark Martin fan and enjoyed going to races with his nephew Larry. He was also a devoted Sooner fan. He loved spending time with niece Brooke and nephew Skylar. The happiest events in his life were the birth of his two daughters Amie and Brandy, his grandsons Gage and Gavin and his great niece Hayden. He loved them with all his heart. We were privileged to have 54 years with him and will miss him, but there is joy in our hearts for we know where he is now. Bud was preceded in death by his father Roy H. Lawson, grandparents Bill and Grace Goodman, and Roy P. and Nannie Lawson, brother-in-law Larry York and nephew Michael York. He is survived by his daughters Amie Mullins and Brandy Tannehill, their husbands Craig and Jason, grandsons Gage and Gavin Mullins, mother Doris Lawson, sisters Connie York and Brenda Lawson, dear friend Paula Floyd, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Buds family was his world. He is loved and will be missed by all. The family will be receiving visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM. The service will be held at 2:00 PM , Thursday, August 26, 2010 at The First Baptist Church of Sapulpa. The entombment will follow at the Green Hill Memorial Mausoleum. The family has chosen to entrust the care of the service to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.
