Jack Bailey Parks Obituary

Jack “Bailey” Parks was born on June 24th, 1932 on Red Eagle Route, Osage County, Oklahoma; the son of Ora Hetti May Tripp and Virgil Cleo Parks. He passed from this life on Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, peacefully, in his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 92.

Bailey started his working life in the oilfields in northern Oklahoma before traveling as a surveyor for several companies, a job he always recounted as one he hated, but told stories about fondly. After settling in Owasso, he and his wife Mary-Ann opened Parks Liquor store while he worked at American Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic. He retired from American Airlines in 1997.

Bailey is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary-Ann; a son, Vincent Parks; a daughter, Diana Yates; and a grandson, Dillan Parks. His survivors include his brother Earnest Cleo Parks, sons Mark Parks and wife Mindy and Albert Parks and wife Kimberly, and many grandchildren, and even more great-grandchildren.

A rosary service will be held on Monday, December 16th at 6:00 P.M., at Saint Henry Catholic Church, located at 8500 N Owasso Expressway, Owasso, OK 74055. A funeral service will be hosted on Tuesday, December 17th at 10:30 A.M., at the same location, with a private burial to follow.
