Dora Mae Beede (Norton) 74, of Collinsville, OK, passed away peacefully on December 30th at her home in Collinsville, OK.
She requested a small celebration of her life at her home with close family and friends.
Dora was born in Tulsa, OK to Lonzo and Lucy Norton on March 14, 1950. She went to high school at Bixby High School and graduated in 1968. She went on to work as a school bus driver for Bixby schools where she loved working with the students. She had many restaurant management positions and was an amazing cook. She could find beauty in every facet of life. Her favorite activities included watching the birds on her property and tending to her garden, roses were her favorite!Her positive nature was infectious to everyone around her. She enjoyed spending time with her family the mostand would do anything to protect the people she loved.
Dora is survived by her husband, Samuel LeoBeede of Collinsville, OK; Sisters, Wanda Faye Tannehill and Kaye Norton; Daughter, Dr. Angela Marie McGuire; Son and Daughter in law, Ethan L and Debbie Louise Richett; Children by marriage; Rodney Leo Beede, Sammie Kay Roberts, and Kelli Ann Manoogian; Grandchildren, Dr. Shelbi Melissa Mae and her husband Dr. Daniel Stuart Bond, Brandon Anthony Richett, and Sydni Marie Richett; Great grandchildren, Callum Graham Bond and Gemma Louise Bond; along with several nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with several extended family members and friends.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Lonzo and Lucy Norton of Bixby, OK and eight siblings: Walter Howard, Fred Norton, Pearl Cantu, Jim Norton, Kathy Mitchell, Hansel Norton, Betty Ann Beckman, and Charley Eugene Norton.
