Claris Rachel (Strain) McCall, age 87, a longtime resident of Sapulpa, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She was born on December 1, 1922 in Kellyville, Oklahoma to Homer and Florence (Whitely) Strain. On May 25, 1940, she married Cecil McCall. Together they raised three sons. Rachel was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was also the church treasurer for a time. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and going to yard sales. Rachel is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil in 2008, brothers; Vance, Earl, Roosevelt and Olas; and her sisters; Gladys and Hazel. She is survived by her sons; Ronald McCall and Norma of Glenpool, Dewain McCall and Gladys of Sapulpa and Phillip McCall and Tina of Mannford; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
