Obituary of NORMA CARLSON

Please share a memory of NORMA to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Norma Worthine Carlson was born on December 30, 1936 to Henry and Ella Mahoney in Paris, Arkansas. She passed and went into the Lords loving arms on October 15, 2010 at her home in West Tulsa/Sapulpa where she resided with her daughter, Tanya; son-in-law, Ronnie and grandson, Carson. She joined in a family re-union with those who have gone before her, including her parents, Henry and Ella Mahoney; twin brother, Norman Mahoney; brothers, Henry Mahoney, Jr.; Raymond Mahoney; Bennie Mahoney; sister, Parthenia Rogers; sister, Mary Chambers and brother, J.B. Mahoney. Norma is survived by one daughter, Tanya and husband, Ronnie Luckey. She is also survived by a grandson, Carson Mahoney; her one remaining sister, Hazel Gleason and she leaves behind many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Norma served with the USWACC from 1964 to 1965. Sapulpa is the place where Norma chose to spend her life after being honorably discharged. She loved this city and the many family and friends she had in Sapulpa. Norma was a woman who knew no stranger and had a heart that reached out to all; if she had it, it was yours if you needed it. Norma was a stubborn woman and you could not tell her anything. She would "zone you out" as if you weren't even there. She did it her way even if it was the harder way. Norma had a rough battle with the many surgeries and breast cancer but as we all know, she was a fighter and let her faith in the Lord lead her and she came through praising the Lord, and we all here know, she beat her battle with breast cancer. Even though Norma lived her days in pain, she never lost her beautiful smile and her ability to laugh. Norma lived a very long and joyful life and when she said I am tired and I want to go home. She said I love you and goodbye to all her loved ones, it was only a week after these words, "I want to go home, I am tired" she closed her eyes and took her last breath and went home to our Lord and her loving family waiting for her.
