When I was little, I spent almost every weekend I could with my pee-paw. I would wake up every morning begging him for his homemade pancakes. I have tried so many times to make them myself using his recipe and It's just never tasted the same. He loved to bake and he would always fix me anything I wanted. Even if I woke him up at 1:00 in the morning he would gripe at me a little bit and tell me "I was spoiled rotten" and then he would get up and fix me a big plate of pancakes. He always made sure I knew how much he loved me, and that is one of the many things I will never forget.

From the very beginning P.Pa has always been part of my life. He came to the hospital when I was born, and when I got home he was there waiting for me. He always had his arms opened and ready with a hug. He was there for teething, and loosing baby teeth. P.Pa always grumped about "that racket even when we were little. But always let us listen to what ever we wanted. He kissed skinned knees and made them better, and later on kissed my forehead and said I was pretty when kids teased me. He grumbled about rowdy boys playing with us rowdy girls. That eventually changed grumbles about cute boy talk and crushes. All my life nearly 28 years he way there for everything. I would not be the woman I am today without him. He has always been a unshakable pillar of strength and love and I will truly miss that for the rest of my life. If I had to sum up what he was and always will be it is loving. He always loves fully and completely.
