Obituary of EdwaDean Woolf

Edwa Dean Mahan Woolf, 82 passed away December 17, 2010 at Glennwood Health Care in Glenpool, OK with her daughter, Jan Clark, by her side. Edwa Dean was born September 28, 1928 in Bee Branch, AR to John and Ora Mahan. She was the youngest of six children. She attended Bigelow High School in Bigelow, AR until she met and married Hartsel Woolf in December of 1944. They moved to Kiefer, OK in 1952 where they remained until 1967. After brief moves to Manteca, California and Claremore, OK they returned to Glenpool in 1971. After retirement they built their dream home in Kiefer in 1983 and Edwa Dean returned to Glenpool in 1999. Edwa Dean and Hartsel had three children: LaJan Clark of Glenpool, OK; Sharron Stuart of Georgetown, TX, and Gary Woolf of McKinney, TX ; Edwa Dean's first profession was being a stay-at-home mother, wife and homemaker, excelling at all three. After her children left home, she accepted a position with Glenpool Schools in their food program until she retired. Her passion was being a great Meme to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cooking meals for all who came to see her. She will not only be remembered for the great meals but her loving nature and kindness to all who crossed her path. Edwa Dean was preceded in death by her parents; John and Ora Mahan, her husband, Hartsel, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her three children, grandchildren; Angela Chaffin and husband, Ky. of Sapulpa, OK. Shelley Blankenship and husband, Chad of Kiefer, OK; Kevin Clark of Tulsa, OK; Chelsea Ciraulo and husband Anthony of Richland, BC; Kendall Woolf of Flower Mound, TX; great-grandchildren; Grant Miller, Abby Chaffin, Libby Chaffin, Ella Chaffin, Colt Blankenship, Kinley Blankenship & Caleb Blankenship. Also, a host of friends and relatives.
