MARGARET PAXTON Obituary

Margaret Catherine DePrater Paxton, 89, died peacefully at her home Thursday morning February 17th with her loving daughter at her side. It was her wish to have a Catholic funeral service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Sapulpa on March 3, 2011 at 10 AM. She will be buried at Memorial Park in Tulsa following the service.




Margaret was born in Cushing, OK on April 2, 1921. She was the loving wife for 63 years of the late Albert Lavern Paxton, who was born in Glenpool. Margaret was the younger daughter of the late William DePrater and Mary Ruth DePrater, sister of the late Vera DePrater Bland, and brother of the late Billy "Spud" DePrater. Margaret and Albert both graduated from Kiefer High School. She moved to California shortly after graduation where she and her husband raised three beautiful children Albert Stephen Paxton of Malibu, CA, Peggy E Mulvihill of Sapulpa, OK, and Mark Christopher Paxton of Corona, CA. Margaret is survived by her three loving children, their spouses, 7 grand children Heather, Kristy, Bobby, Jimmy, Josh, Sarah and Katie, and 9 great grand children followed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.




Margaret enjoyed traveling throughout the world but in 2002 Albert and she came home to Oklahoma settling in Sapulpa. She lived her last 9 years at her home surrounded by her loving grandchildren and great grand children. She will be forever missed.
