Rodney passed away on March 26, 2011 at St John Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years, 7 months and 26 days. Rodney graduated from Stroud High School in 1976 where he starred in many high school musicals and played the drums. Rodney was a sign painter by trade. He painted signs in Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. His greatest love was serving as the Music Director at Forest Hills Baptist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. In addition to leading the music, Rodney was also very active in the outreach program at the church. Rodney was once an active member of the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma, The Tulsa Opera and the Drumright Theater Group. Most recently, this past summer Rodney sponsored a charity art show in Drumright with the proceeds going to the local food pantry and the Ministerial Alliance. Rodney lived in Branson, Missouri for 9 years and sang in many of the theaters with his brother, David. Rodney viewed himself as a cowboy from days gone by. He once worked on a dude ranch for a summer in Missouri and worked as a horse wrangler. Rodney lived a full life and had many hobbies - one of which was his motorcycle.
