Obituary of MAMIE NAPIER

Mamie Irene Napier, age 93, a resident of Sapulpa, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Maplewood Care center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Coonskin Hills, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on June 15, 1918 to Noah and Flora McCoy. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Jonathan Napier who passed away in April of 1973; brother, Robert McCoy who passed away in December of 2003; son, Graden Napier who passed away in January of 2011. Mamie is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Carol Napier of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Grady and Amy Napier of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lisa and Donnie Rettig of West Monroe, Louisiana, SGT First Class Tracy and Stephanie Napier of Killeen, Texas, Ricky and Terry Napier of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Belinda Fleming of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Baleigh, Brooke Napier, Garrett Napier and Kimberly Timmons, Kyle and Isaac Harris, Hunter, Michael, E-Kate, Nick, Pamela, and Sonia Napier, Kyle Witwer, Cody and Tabitha Napier, Kris and Austin Fleming; great great grandchild Jonathan James (JJ) Napier. Mamie went to school to the 4th grade. She was a homemaker and a mother; she made quilts for the whole family plus others and was the first lady to have a quilting machine in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She did craft shows and flea markets. She was a member of the Rebecca Club, a foster mother to young girls, and enjoyed square dancing. She lived her last years at Maplewood Care Center of Tulsa, Oklahoma where she was loved and well care for and she loved all the workers and residents. Now she has gone on to be with her beloved husband, Jonathan Napier, brother and son in a peaceful place we call Heaven! Visitation for Mrs. Napier will begin on Saturday and last until 9:00 that evening, on Sunday visitation will start at 1:00 and end and 9:00 with the family accepting visitors from 5:00 to 9:00. Service will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 21, 2012 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will include Garrett Napier, Kris Fleming, Cody Napier, Baleigh Napier, Brooke Napier and Isaac Harris.
