Obituary of JUD EURIT

Jud was born to Carl and Beulah Eurit in Mexhia , Texas on September 5, 1924. He passed away May 1, 2011 in West Tulsa Oklahoma . He grew up in Catoosa Oklahoma . He was a World War II veteran. He joined the Army on February 18, 1943. He served as a heavy truck driver and later an army ranger serving in New Guinea and the southern Philippines . During his military service he received various metals and ribbons including good conduct, purple heart, bronze star, bronze service arrowhead, a Philippine liberation ribbon with one bronze star. He was wounded in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and honorably discharged from the 38th Infantry Division as a private first class on December 31st 1945. After leaving the Army he became a certified aircraft welder. He worked in many different states and foreign countries as a pipeline welder, including the Alaska pipeline. He retired in the late 1980's. In 1947 he married Lorene Holland. They had one child Sandra. Jud was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Beulah, first wife Lorene Holland, two brothers, Joel and Daniel, and two sisters, Carlette and Francis. He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Morey, son-in-law Ken Morey, four grandchildren Michelle, Ken Phillip, and Rachel, and four great grandchildren, Alexia, Jareth, Bowen and Ryder. He is survived by one sister Rhonda Wells of Seattle , Washington , sister-in-law Nadine Eurit of Oakhurst , Oklahoma , and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
