I came to know of Chuck passing away recently. I would like to add to Chuck's academic and professional accomplishments. Chuck received A.B. and M.A. in Physics from Kansas State Teacher's College. He received Ph.D. in Geophysics from University of Missouri. Chuck was a Math Instructor at University of Missouri from 1960-1964; Complex Project Geophysicist for Pan American Petroleum Corp. from 1964-1966; Research Geophysicist for Cities Service Oil Company from 1966-1967; Section Supervisor Geophysical Research from 1967-1970; Manager Geophysical Research 1970-1976; Manager Natural Res. Systems in Services Group from 1976-1979. He was appointed manager of Geophysical Data Processing Center 1983-1984.
I am fortunate to have worked for Chuck after he hired me as a Research Geophysicist. Everyone got along well with him as a manager and as a person. On a personal level both Chuck and Sharon were very helpful to me and my family. We are disappointed that we did not know of him passing in time to come and be there to express our condolences to the family. May Almighty God Bless his soul and grant him eternal peace.
