Obituary of David Gabriel Charles Claybrook

David Gabriel Charles Claybrook went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2016. David was brought into this world as a joyous gift to his parents Seth and Sabrina on February 1, 2001 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He leaves a multitude of family and friends here on Earth. David was a generous, kind hearted and gentle soul who always cared for those around him especially those in need. His parents already miss David’s affection, love and strong desire to make them proud; and that he did; exceedingly well. Deborah Claybrook and Linda Crissman, his grandmothers, will miss his bright smile and quick wit along with so many other honorable characteristics. His many brothers and sisters will miss his genuine care and concern for them as well as his ability to lead. David’s cousins will miss his smile, constant doting over them and loving demeanor. He was an outstanding nephew to the aunts and uncles around him; always respectful and a true joy to them. While here, David cultivated friendships with many, always reaching out to those around him. Those relationships, though dearly missed, will not be forgotten. Surely those close to David will always remember his desire to be a good son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. David was an eighth grader at Rongey Middle School in Kiefer, Oklahoma. He was a member of The Pride of Kiefer Marching Band; played the saxophone and thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Trojan Band. He was also on the academic team and was a member of the Botball team. He was a strong runner for the Kiefer cross country team and enjoyed competing and riding the bus to and from meets with his team mates. He was in 4H where he showed pigs for two years and was a member of the track team for one year. David was also an excellent student, taking advanced math while at Kiefer and attempting to read everything he could get his hands on. He had plans of attending Stanford Law. He also was very artistic, loved to play board games, swim, hike, rock-climb, play soccer, and was an excellent marksman. David enjoyed playing the piano and his ability allowed him to play what he heard on the family piano. He loved new experiences and was excited about attending lacrosse camp this summer in Georgetown, Texas. His insatiable love of pizza, pop, candy, and anything sweet was infectious. David loved traveling and enjoyed trips to Gulf Shores, San Antonio, Kansas City, Branson, Robbers Cave State Park, Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge as well as many other places. Though we experience sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that David went to be with our Lord and Savior. We know he will be with our Redeemer until we see him again on the other side. “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 NKJV. We know from up high, embraced in Love; he is watching over us and beaming love down; urging us to live fully as we wait to see him again. This is not a good-bye David; for we will always have you in our hearts and we will be forever looking forward to our reunion set in the future. Until then, David Gabriel, we love you, and miss you dearly. Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:30 am Friday, March 25, 2016 at Tulsa Bible Church. There is no visitation scheduled. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312/www.greenhillok.com
