Uncle David was one of my favorite people, and he meant a lot to me. I worked with him on many dump jobs, and he was easy to work with and always had a good temperament. He was a compassionate and honest man who spent his life working hard to provide for his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I'm so sorry that our family is unable to make it to your memorial to say goodbye. Although we didn't know you for long, the past couple of years with you were extra special because we got to know so much about you and form closer relationships with you. You were such a sweet man and always had a smile on your face. You never hesitated to tell me how proud of me you were and when all else failed, ended the conversation with "there Ya go" in that adorable southern accent of yours'. You will be so greatly missed by all of your family here, and your "special friend," Missy (my parents dog that never left grandpa's side). May you rest in peace grandpa
