Obituary of David Lee Willis

David Lee Willis was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on February 29, 1936 to parents Taylor Redman and Bessie Marie (Filkins) Willis. He went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2016. David was one of 16 children. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 – 1967 and later owned and operated a Dump Truck Service. He was blessed with 5 children; David Lee Jr., Laura JoAnn, Christina Ruth, Penny and Armin David. David enjoyed singing Karaoke. He could often be found singing at the Claremore Veteran’s Center where he lived. David was preceded in death by his parents Taylor and Bessie Willis; and wife Carolyn Sue Willis; brothers Bob, Gene, Gerald, Bill and Stanley; and sisters Ruby, Wanda, Annabell, Virginia and Linda. He is survived by son David Willis, Jr. and wife Mary of Wisconsin; daughter Laura Willis and husband Stephonic of Wisconsin; daughter Penny Willis of Wisconsin; daughter Christina Zonic and husband Adam of New Hampshire; and son Armin Willis and wife Teresa of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Dallas, Terry, Sierra, Chrystal, Katrina, David III, Adrianna, and Ariel; brother Carl Willis and wife Betty of Claremore; brother John Willis of Claremore; brother Joe Willis and wife Patricia of Claremore; sister Eunice Schafer and husband Bill of San Clemente, California; Delsa Hodges of Kingman, Arizona; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
