Walter Dansby my Great friend and mentor, he watched me grow up from little league baseball on up and thru my life. He was that positive image that would correct if you were wrong and congradulate you if you were doing it right. I always tried to listen to whatever he had to say about any situation. Not many people had the wisdom and know how as Walter. Any advice you could get from Walter was spot on. He was a plain genious from auto mechanics, baseball, football or fixing anything. If you had a problem don't worry just wait until until you saw Walts truck and go ask him he would have a great suggestion for you. Im going to miss him. but most of all i will cherish the lessons that he taught by not by the things that he said but how he carried himself and how he treated others especially the sapulpa family..Walt's sprit will forever be a positive force in Sapulpa.
Sending deepest sympathies, love and kindness to the Dansby Family

I REMEMBER MY DAD (w.f.), Neely and Walter always hanging out in the backyard @ Walters. Rather they played dominoes, cards, packed fresh eggs all-day. We always complained about the smell "hen house" Doretha and Bert would always say "yall wanna eat right??? To say the least we never bought eggs out of grocery store.
I remember attending Homecoming @ Calvary - Walter lead a song w/the homecoming choir but said he couldn't sing.
When my dad passed away he always checked on my mom and said we're here if you need us and took my brother hunting, riding and still made him clean fresh eggs.
He was my dad's closest friend and have endured till the end. Whenever we visit @ Calvary he was always @ the door greeting, smiling or whatever work was needed. Let the works he's done speak well for him......

I'm hoping this only comes through one time. This is my third time so if you get 3 different messages I apologize. Walter was the kindest, soft spoken, gentleman around. I worked with him at the post office for many years and was a pleasure to be acquainted with him. Whenever he wasn't working all his customers wanted to know where Walter was and was he alright. He was loved by all and a friend to many. I would pass him in the morning hours bringing Ms. Haley to school and always had a wave and a smile. We was so pleased to have one of his grandchildren as a Kiefer Trojan. Ms Haley, we are proud of you. I think Walter had his own special school bus transporting grandchildren or picking them up and let me tell you that added a sparkle to his eyes. I can't say enough about this special friend of mine, he was a true angel walking on earth. I know he has a fishing pole in his hand looking for that golden pond full of fish. My prayers goes out to his family as I know he will be greatly missed and I know his church was very important to him as well. It is our loss but heavens gain, until we meet you again God bless you my dear friend.
