Obituary
Obituary of MARY EDELMAN
Please share a memory of MARY to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Rosemarie Edelman was born on June 20, 1961 in Sapulpa Oklahoma to Doris and James Edelman. She was raised in Kiefer where she graduated from high school.
Many people would not know who you were talking about if you mentioned Mary Edelman. She was always Rosie to those of us who knew her as a child and young adult.
Rosie loved basketball while in school and played when she got a chance even after that. When she spent summers with her sister in Norman she got a kick out of" putting the press on" and stealing the ball from her brother in law. As time went on she took up bowling and was good at that also. Her latest interests were quilting and collecting china plates with Roses on them.
She continued her education at Tulsa Junior College where she studied accounting.
Rosie was just an all around great human being who would do anything she could for family and friends. She spent most of her free time in the last few years caring for her mother. Rosie loved pets and had several cats and a dog Reggie. Rosie had a variety of jobs in Tulsa before being hired by Hambrick- Ferguson Inc. in 2006, where she worked until her death.
Rosie loved her job, her employers, and the friends she made there. Jill, Nick and John were very special friends to her.
Preceding Rosie in death is her father James Edelman. She is survived by her mother Doris Edelman, her sister Carolyn Carter, Carolyn's children Natalie Jones and Derek Carter, as well as their children, Josie Jones, Henry Jones, Morgan Carter and Lexi Carter.
The family is requesting donations to the Kiefer Public School Foundation or the American Heart Association in Rosie's honor.
