Jim was one of my first new neighbors I met after moving to the country by Pretty Water. He had a mule he wanted me to help break as I had horses. One day I snubbed up his ole mule, named Kate I believe,to my horse and off we went with Jim on her and a hump in her back all over the pasture. She broke pretty easy and Jim rode her for quite a while and how he loved that ole mule. He had her for quite a while before he wanted to sell her, so he asked me to ride her on a trail ride and try to sell her for him. By then Kate rode like a dream and he got several offers to buy her. Jim sure missed that mule after he sold her.

Jim was many things - an avid fisherman and hunter, a great cook and gardener, a wonderful father and husband - but most of all, he was the best friend you could ever have. We will miss him greatly!

Jim was a friend that I shall never forget. He was always kind to me and treated me with the greatest respect and I shall always remember that beautiful smile on his face and his kindest. Heaven just got a little brighter today. My deepest sympathy to his family. I am so sorry for your loss. We will miss Jim greatly.
