I wondered why I had not heard from Lila in a long, long time. I wanted to let her know that is moved and found that she'd passed. We were very distant cousins via my grandmother's people in North Carolina. Miss you.

Another memory: When I lived in St. George, Lila came to visit on her way to Caliente, Nevada. She saw my HUGE hollyhocks & commented on them. I gave her some seeds.

The next year they all died out in my garden due to a hot desert summer. I was so sad. I always wanted to get some seeds back from Lila, but never did. I'm living back in Michigan now, which is more favorable to hollyhocks, so if anyone has access to them at Lila's old home, could you please, send me some seeds? I think of Lila when I see hollyhocks.
Everytime I trim my trees or pick my strawberries, I think of Lila. She and uncle Glen, came to visit one time when i was planting my garden. She took the time to help me plant and teach me little garden secrets to help it grow.
I loved them both very much. I will see you two in a while.
