Wife of David E. Caldwell, of Kiefer, Ok. transitioned to her heavenly home at 7:25 a.m. Saturday morning on January 28th. Shirley was born in Drumright, OK on Dec 21, 1942. Shirley is the Daughter of Rudolph Mitchell Green and Eva Lorene (Hightower) Green. She is survived by her Husband of 50 years, David, Children Kimberly Parnell of Mounds, David Caldwell Jr. and Derek Caldwell of Kiefer, and Tracy Altieri of Sapulpa. Grandchildren Taylor, Angelina, Alyssa, and Alex. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother who cherished her family above all else.
Shirley was a founding member of the Kiefer Community Freewill Baptist Church. God and family were the focus of her life. She and her brothers Rick & Randy, as well as her sister Marketta sang in a group known as the Good News Singers. She loved singing with them and spreading God's word to anyone that would hear it. Shirley was blessed with an amazing singing voice that touched the heart of everyone who heard it.
Shirley was also an avid gardener who loved her plants and flowers. Before she became too ill to do so, she spent most of her free time working in the yard and tending to her precious flowers. She loved growing and eating her own vegetables.
Shirley's friends and family have no doubt that they'll reunite in heaven and celebrate as they see Shirley leading that "Golden Street Parade".
