Larry Shawn Bowling passed into the arms of his Lord on June 21, 2014. He was born to Betty and L.V. Bowling on September 18th, 1957. Born and raised in Sapulpa, he resided there until the end of his life. Depending on the capacity in which you knew Larry, you may have called him Shawn, Larry or Larry Shawn but to a select few he was more importantly known as Dad, pa pa, and Shawn Shawn.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty Ann Bowling; L.V. Bowling; brothers Jack Dukane Bowling; and Gary Burge. He is survived by his partner of 19 years, Donna Jones; daughter Andrea Bowling; son Mitchell Bowling; brothers Bret Bowling; Kedrick Bowling; sisters Tamie Bowling-Vann; Terry Crawford; Violet Sue Garrison; Vickie Clark; Gloria Harrison; and Leslie Long. Grandchildren Bailey Hicks; Anniston Bowling; Trinity Vandiver; Tyler Vandiver; and Taryn Vandiver; as well as a host of friends he considered family. Larry Shawn Bowling will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
