Next to Linda JB's sister I probably have the first memories of him because (on the Haywood side of our family) our grand parents and parents and aunts and uncles have all passed on to a better place. JB and I are very close in age and my first memory of him was me hiding under a baby crib to get away from him because he was pulling my hair. I was maybe 3. One of the memories that come to mind now are of he and I riding our "Stick Horse" in the yard at our Grandma Haywood's house and he got "bucked off" and had a cut over his eye. My Daddy (his Uncle Johnny) who was a Pharmacist Mate in the Navy (WWII) came to JB's rescue and fixed the wound without stitches and consoled him with "what a good Cowboy he was". JB and his Uncle Johnny were very good buddies when we were young. Over the years there were many good memories, many that will flood back at this time wish I could tell them all but not enough space for that. I know there were pictures of these things when they took place and I wish that I could find them to share but at this time just can not put my hands on them. JB was always wanting to do things for us and was a very dear cousin I loved dearly as I do all of the cousins. I am sure we will all share the loss of another one of our family. Life interfered with being together over the years so I hope that what lies ahead will bring us all back together. Goodbye my dear one.
