When I joined the choir at Ridgeway Baptist Church, Betty took me under her wing, showed me the ropes. I loved that she, being an older women embraced the praise and worship that was just coming popular in churches. She served by example. Over the years my husband and I went to served at another church and no matter when or where our paths would cross her sweet sweet smile and soft hands and gentle hug always made me grateful to be able to call her friend.
