Obituary of Caitlyn Mathis

Please share a memory of Caitlyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Caitlyn Brooke Mathis was born September 19, 1992 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to David and Julie Mathis. On February 27, 2012, our Lord called Caitlyn home to bring her loving smile, innocent spirit and endless energy to Heaven. He truly got a perfect Angel on this day. Caitlyn was both a big sister and a little sister. Her brothers, Justin and Conner loved her dearly and will miss her every day. Caitlyn was also blessed with wonderful grandparents; David and Inge Mathis of Kiefer, Lee Bidner of Fisher, Illinois and Jack and Joann Bidner of Gibson City, Illinois. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and great grandparents. She was the life and energy of the family. Caitlyn had a beautiful soul and believed in the good in everyone. She loved the Lord fully and lived her life the way God wanted her to. She had the ability to touch every person she ever met in a way no one else could. She gave her all in everything she did. Her smile could light up the world and has in so many ways. Caitlyn was involved in everything possible while in high school. She was an outstanding basketball player, softball player and cheerleader. She loved the band and was a member of the FCA. If there was anything to be involved in, Caitlyn would be there giving it her all. After graduation, Caitlyn went to NSU, where she continued to light the world on fire. She loved college and everything it had to offer. She became a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Those girls became her family away from home and we dearly love how much they cared for Caitlyn. In addition to school, Caitlyn was involved in the Tahlequah community. She tutored at Peggs School, mentored at the Tahlequah Boys and Girls Home and coached various Tahlequah basketball teams. She loved all the kids she worked with and each one of them was special to her. Caitlyn, you were too perfect for this earth and your family will thank God every day that He blessed us with you. In 19 short years, you made more of a difference in this world than most people ever will. We can't wait to meet you at Heaven's gate and see that beautiful smile that can only come from you. We love and miss you every second Caitlyn. Service will be 10:30 AM Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Kiefer Event Center. Burial will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa. The family has chosen to entrust the care of the service to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312 www.greenhillok.com
