My Aunt Evet
I will miss our long conversations and walking down memory lane with you.
You lovingly opened your heart and home to my sisters and I, as we lived with you for a while. I was about 7 years old.
During that time I earned the name “Big Bird” not because of my size but because I was the most opinionated, you loved me despite me being so strong willed.
You taught me how to set the table, the correct and exact position of each piece. The importance of chewing my food properly and brushing my hair before bed.
As kids we were always freshly bathed and well dressed. I have fond memories of creaming the butter and sugar until it was light and fluffy in preparation for the potato pudding or other goodies you baked.
While celebrating Birthdays or other occasions the well dressed ham was a magnificent centerpiece.
It's clear the value you had for family, you took the time to stay connected with frequent visits and when distance would not allow this we kept in touch over the phone.
We shared many memorable times, “walk good” till we meet again,” Love you.
