I was saddened to hear of Rick's loss of his wife of 45 years recently and by the news of his passing. I was a member of his dad Jim Dyer's Robertson Red Devil's baseball team in west Tulsa from 1959-64. Ricky was a jovial,content guy who was tenacious and a very dependable catcher who mastered the art of catching the super tricky curve pitches of our team's pitcher Gary Major. He was easy to get along with and more patient than most of us. He was pretty much made of boot leather and titanium even as a kid.
