Before her passing she was the longest living member of the church. She had been a phone operator, a babysitter, she taught art at Liberty School Kindergarten and then went on to serve the community at Camp Fire USA where she started as a group leader and then ultimately retired, after 13 years. Kay loved working with children in any capacity.
Some of her hobbies included painting, sewing, crafts, cake baking and decorating, which she was really good at. She loved to decorate for ALL the holidays and would always have a tree for each one. She also loved to take road trips, all you had to do was ask. She enjoyed keeping stats for the girl’s softball teams and never missed a game or cheerleading event. She wasn’t much for cooking, but she was known for her poached eggs and toast.
Kay touched many lives and was loved dearly by all who came to know her. She will be missed.
