She was and will always be my sweet Aunt Helen. My mom (her sister Dorothy Hull) and she were very close and because we lived on the same block for 7 years I saw her almost daily. She was like a 2nd mom to me and would correct me or swat me if I needed it…and I usually did! She and mom insisted Steve and I walk to school together and I know he didn’t want too because he would walk 15 feet ahead of me and I would screech and holler all the way there! I will miss the wonderful stories she told of her and her siblings life growing up “on the farm”. The fun camping trips to Colorado and the Illinoise River. She was a constant in my younger life and made a huge impact on me…..always, always showing support and never condemning. Always reminding me how we all needed Jesus in our life. I’m saddened…but rejoicing that she is with Jesus now and re-united with mom (her partner in crime) and all other family.
